| A Journey...
Hello, how are you? My name is Gabriela C. Luna and I have been living in Buenos Aires for 12 years. I was born and grew up in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. I graduated with a degree in English and Education from the School of Philosophy and Humanities (Universidad Nacional de Tucumán) cum laude. Then, the U.S. Government and the Fulbright Foundation granted me a prestigious scholarship to pursue my graduate studies in the U.S. and I completed a Masters Degree in Latin American Studies. I lived in the U.S. for five years. While in Washington D.C., I used to teach Spanish as a foreign language to pay for my living expenses while completing my internships to further my schooling. I worked as an intern at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the World Bank and The Council on Hemispheric Affairs. I loved opening the doors of the Latin-American and Argentine culture to foreigners working at the World Bank, to students at George Town University and journalists of USA Today among others.
Experience
After relocating in BA- a city I love deeply; I co-founded Latitudes and started and enriching and fulfilling return trip.
I worked as a professor at the Centro Universitario de Idiomas, and have been a board member of the Argentine Fulbright Alumni Association. I taught Spanish at Laniere du Piccardi, Honda Motor of Argentina, Eastman Kodak.
Upon returning to BA I started a dearly-loved relationship with Spanish, its dance, its music and mystic.
I understand from different perspectives the arduous efforts involved in learning a foreign language the, but I also understand the advantages in learning it where it is the local language.
Therefore, it is my objective to go along with you in this learning process mingled in the Rioplatense culture, origin source of tango.
